So, tonight's blog/rant/whatever is about yet another observation that I have made. Guys that claim they know how to treat women "right". While that may be true, what exactly is the "right" way? Everyone has a standard moral code (no cheating, lying, etc.), but everyone has different ideas about what they consider to be right, too much, or too little.
Example: Some guys like to take the romantic approach to things. Get their girl a dozen roses every single day, send them some sappy card randomly at their work place, or even say those three little words every chance they get.
While I do know of a few women that would appreciate that, I on the other hand would want to strangle the dude by the time I got the third dozen. In that situation, I wouldn't be being treated, "right", I would be being strangled by Cupid's literal choke hold. While obviously this guy would stay true to me, not lie to me, and take care of me, ideally I wouldn't be able to handle a relationship with this person because the over amount of sweetness/clingyness would make me want to choke on my own vomit. LOL.
I make this observation because I notice that most times after any woman (that may or may not have just been burned, and might just want to stay angry for a bit-you'd be surprised at how much progress you can make when anger lights a fire under your ass) says anything along the lines of "Men are pigs.", or "OMG WHY ARE GUYS SUCH DOUCHEBAGS?!" there is always at least ONE comment below said status message stating, "Well, I'm the exception to the rule. I would treat you right, darlin." I dare you to go down your newsfeed on facebook right now and look. You'll see, I swear it's true!
It irritates me that there are guys out there that think that they are God's gift to women. Everyone is made to be a gift for ONE person. Sure, there are other people that you are meant to be with for a certain period of time, but ultimately, one day you're supposed to have that one person. Whether you look for them and find them, or they find you. If you stay in the same spot in your life and don't get yourself to where you need to be before you get your gift, you may not receive it. In which case, sad day for you.
Note: There is a difference between what guys THINK girls find amazing, and what all girls truly find amazing. This also goes for sex. Just throwing that out there. :P We don't want generic bullshit. We want something original, something different, and ultimately, something real.
Maybe one day, someone will come along, and not just be playing a role for me. But until then, it will be hard for that person to climb these walls.
xoxo,
Stephi
I'm really picky when it comes to my guys. LOL I don't want a guy to give me roses all the time, even though I do love flowers, I'd rather have something that lasts longer. I like a guy who isn't afraid of PDA, just kissing me or holding my hand and stuff. But seriously, if a guy is showering you with gifts and shit all the time, maybe he's overcompensating for what's not going on down below? LOL never mind. It was soo much funnier in my head!
ReplyDeleteAnyways! To your point about there being one person meant for you... I am so confused about that idea. I kind of like this guy right now... but he's in a polymerous relationship, and I don't think I can deal with that. I want my boyfriend all to myself, and while I have an open mind about people and their views, I don't think that is something I want to take on. Not only would he be sleeping with her and I, but whomever else he wanted to boink in the mean time. Which leaves me to the bitching... WHAT THE FUCK? He is almost perfect, and his voice is so sexy. But HE HAS A MOTHER FUCKING GIRLFRIEND! Who encourages him to find other play mates. How do people get to that stage? It's just so weird for me.
Oh, anyways. Again. I've been single for a year. Why? Well, men are douche bags. (Insert applause here) I just think the lines of communication are HEAVILY blurred or not even drawn, and it's so hard to understand what the hell is going on. Why does it have to be so complicated? And please, tell me why the HELL I am on a computer at 2am??? SGP, your block has kept me up. Apologize, now! :)
ps; ... i forgot what i was going to say, so just... ps.
I do NOT apologize for ANYTHING, my dear. You know it was a good read. :P hahaha
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, my idea about ultimately ONE person being meant for you..I believe that everyone is meant to have one person that gets them completely and totally. They might drive them up a fucking wall sometimes, and they might not be COMPLETELY to your specifications (hell, they might be pretty much your opposite..your yin to your yang, per se) but it'll just be there. I can't completely explain it, I'm not God. LOL.
As for the guy you're interested in, I wouldn't be able to handle that either. Seriously. That relationship just would NOT happen. Ever. I think being with more than one person at the same time is the worst form of disrespect. I mean, people can believe and do what they choose, that's just my opinion.
I agree with you about the lines of communication. During my periods of being single, I tend to just be an ice queen and am unable to attach myself to anyone on a level other than physical or platonic, regardless of whether or not I want to feel otherwise. This last time, I seriously couldn't tell you what made me fall. But I did. And damn near broke my neck. LOL.
LOL I want to fall in love and let someone in, but I just haven't met anyone that makes me do that. I think it's because it took me SO LONG to get over Mikey that I just forgot what it was like to have someone actually want me. I've never had a guy fall in love with me. I mean, Zock and I were in love at one point, but I was a crazy teenager and he was a stubborn dickhead, so we ended up NEVER being able to make it work. And sometimes, well not sometimes, A LOT of times, I think back wishing I could have the chance at that again, but now isn't the time to even bring it up. LOL Okay, anyways.
ReplyDeleteI want to randomly meet a guy and just KNOW, I don't want to have to fight for his attention or try to change everything about me for him to even notice me or like me. I want to feel that spark so hard that it knocks me on my ass (without breaking my neck ;) ). I think I've seen too many movies. LOL
The fact that it won't work out and I wish it could is the reason why I won't meet that guy. As sexy and charming as he is, I know what I want, and I don't want to have to share it. Next!
We should start a "bitches againt brohoz" club or something. LOL
HAHAHAHA A she man, man hating club! That's priceless! <3
ReplyDeleteHaving someone want you is a good feeling. I mean, I felt it a little bit recently..it's nice knowing that there are people out there that do appreciate the things you have to offer. I just know it's not my time yet. I have a feeling I might be on yet another three year stint of being single, but who knows? At this point, after what just happened, I welcome that. LOL.
I love the feeling of falling in love, yet I'm so scared of it at the same time. I mean, last time I did, it was pretty much instant. Which I wasn't expecting. So be careful what you wish for. Is all I'm saying. :P BE CAREFUL. It'll knock you on your ass, and then you're down for the count for quite a while. It's beautiful and shitty all at the same time. Especially when you still want to do things for yourself.
I'm starting to get uber picky myself. Slowly figuring out EXACTLY what I want. I'm so tired of the bullshit. Seriously.
Every guy that has ever said he would 'treat me right' or treat me better than my last guy....ended up treating me WORSE than the previously said guy. I don't believe it anymore. Nice guys are full of shit too and I agree with you that I am tired of them thinking they are god's gift to women. I want a guy who is genuine and not just in it to hit it and quit it. Fuck that. I like flowers, but every day would be annoying. Fully agreed.
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY. It's like, we pour our hearts out and then they're all 'Oh, we can make it alllllll better.' And they do, for a little while. Until they show us their true colors, whether it be all at once or slowly.
ReplyDeleteGuys think that if they tell us all of this nice and sentimental bullshit that they can get in our pants and manipulate us. Well, for most women it works. Hell, it's even worked on me a few times. But now, not so much. I'm just sooooo done.
