So, tonight's blog/rant/whatever is about yet another observation that I have made. Guys that claim they know how to treat women "right". While that may be true, what exactly is the "right" way? Everyone has a standard moral code (no cheating, lying, etc.), but everyone has different ideas about what they consider to be right, too much, or too little.
Example: Some guys like to take the romantic approach to things. Get their girl a dozen roses every single day, send them some sappy card randomly at their work place, or even say those three little words every chance they get.
While I do know of a few women that would appreciate that, I on the other hand would want to strangle the dude by the time I got the third dozen. In that situation, I wouldn't be being treated, "right", I would be being strangled by Cupid's literal choke hold. While obviously this guy would stay true to me, not lie to me, and take care of me, ideally I wouldn't be able to handle a relationship with this person because the over amount of sweetness/clingyness would make me want to choke on my own vomit. LOL.
I make this observation because I notice that most times after any woman (that may or may not have just been burned, and might just want to stay angry for a bit-you'd be surprised at how much progress you can make when anger lights a fire under your ass) says anything along the lines of "Men are pigs.", or "OMG WHY ARE GUYS SUCH DOUCHEBAGS?!" there is always at least ONE comment below said status message stating, "Well, I'm the exception to the rule. I would treat you right, darlin." I dare you to go down your newsfeed on facebook right now and look. You'll see, I swear it's true!
It irritates me that there are guys out there that think that they are God's gift to women. Everyone is made to be a gift for ONE person. Sure, there are other people that you are meant to be with for a certain period of time, but ultimately, one day you're supposed to have that one person. Whether you look for them and find them, or they find you. If you stay in the same spot in your life and don't get yourself to where you need to be before you get your gift, you may not receive it. In which case, sad day for you.
Note: There is a difference between what guys THINK girls find amazing, and what all girls truly find amazing. This also goes for sex. Just throwing that out there. :P We don't want generic bullshit. We want something original, something different, and ultimately, something real.
Maybe one day, someone will come along, and not just be playing a role for me. But until then, it will be hard for that person to climb these walls.

Ramblings From the Not So Average Girl...
This, among other places (there are several), is where I speak my mind. If I haven't inspired, offended, amazed, gave insight to, or otherwise effected you..I haven't done my job. Put simply, I keep it real. I'm no expert on life, but this is my perspective. Enjoy, or hate. Either way, I'll be happy. ;)

What Goes Through A "Man's" Mind?
There is, indeed, a reason why I decided to put man in quotes. :P
Lately, it seems to me as though the opposite sex has lost their mind more than normal. I'm pretty sure guys would probably say the EXACT same thing about girls, but hey. As a good friend of mine always says, "Sanity is overrated." Oh how true that statement is.
Recently, I was in an unfortunate situation where someone that I thought was a "real man", proved to be completely the opposite. I, along with most women my age, have gone through this process several times, only to find ourselves in a much deeper hole emotionally and wondering what exactly is considered a real man, or even if they exist. As of right now (we must take the fact that I'm kind of cynical and bitter into consideration at this point), I'm starting to think it's a lie. There are always going to be those guys in your life that either you're related to or may as well be related to, that will always be there for you. Friendship is always appreciated, but it's not the same as love. There's obviously love THERE, just not the "Holy shit my heart just stopped beating for five seconds because I just looked you in the face" love.
I don't hate the opposite sex, so don't get it twisted. In fact, I am extremely fond of men. Two of my closest, dearest friends are guys. I just don't always understand what the deal is. Why the easy way out seems to be the one that always hurts the other person and not them. How things can go from "I love being around you, you saved my life." ; to "I just need to be alone and find myself." When in reality, finding themselves involves some other girl. I've also found that nine times out of ten, said girl is not the person that you would ever have thought in a million years they would have even given a second look to in the first place. I'm not claiming to be innocent, I have hit on a few (and have even been physical with) other people's boyfriends a couple of times in my day, but I've never pursued an actual relationship out of the deal. To me, it's just illogical, considering the act that had just happened was one against someone that they claimed to have loved. Why would I be dumb enough to pursue someone that cheated on someone else? Like I said, completely and totally not logical. At all.
Which leads me to my main question. What goes through a "man's" mind? A real man, or even halfway decent human being, would actually break up with someone at the point in time when they were starting not to be happy instead of pursuing someone else. Do they like feeling like they can live some smooth double life like some kind of super hero? Is it the fact that maybe, just maybe, they know that they're probably making a huge mistake out of letting their current significant other go, and are on the fence about jumping ship? But instead of just saying, "I want to see someone else.", they go on and act as though life is peachy and she's the only thing that exists. Which, in all honesty, isn't fair to either woman in the situation. Woman A because well, chances are she's gone through a lot with this person, shared your most intimate details about your life that literally a handful of people know about. With Woman B, there's obviously a new fresh connection made, and she thinks she has this "man's" undivided attention, she has butterflies, and thinks that maybe this dude is the real deal. Either way you look at it, someone's hopes and dreams are bound to be crushed. Now instead of one person he could potentially hurt, there's two. His solution to this new problem? Lie, lie, lie. Maybe one of the two will actually believe all the crap he's dishing out, or possibly, with any luck at all, have both of them eating the bullshit out of his hand. Just when he thinks he's had it made, one of these women is smart enough to piece it together and realize that she's been duped. Sadly, it's an occurrence that happens all too often, and leaves women wondering what they did wrong. Never a good feeling. EVER.
I understand that cheating has been around since the dawn of time, but back in the day, if someone was to be part of adultery in any way, shape or fashion, legal action would take place. People were actually EXECUTED for being untrue to their partner. Love actually meant something to people. I also understand that it's not just guys that do it, but girls too. It's just really sad that it seems that all other people care about nowadays is whether or not they can score with two people simultaneously, and that the love and devotion of one person isn't enough. There has to be that "hot piece of ass on the side". That's just not reality. It's not sincere. I don't understand how people can be polygamists, or have open relationships with other people, but that's an entirely different blog altogether. :P
Thoughts, opinions, any response of the sort is always open. Girls, share your stories. Guys, give the male perspective. I encourage people to speak their mind, even if it may be something that I don't necessarily agree with. :)
